My Acre of Africa’s mission is to enhance the long-term sustainability of Southern Africa’s wild life and wild lands ... by raising money to educate our children about the importance of their natural heritage.
VISION
Our vision is to engage the hearts and minds of people all over the world, inspiring them to act immediately to ensure the survival of Africa’s irreplaceable wild life treasury – a legacy held by Africa for the benefit of the world. Simultaneously, My Acre of Africa envisages the successful nurturing of an entire new generation that understands the importance of living in harmony, rather than in competition, with nature.
OVERVIEW
My Acre of Africa, which was formally led by President Nelson Mandela as Patron Emeritus, was a worldwide fundraising initiative for Southern African conservation and environmental education that aimed to protect and preserve the region’s wildlife and wild lands for future generations.
